Technology & Architecture

Introduction

Simplio represents a GameFi infrastructure, meticulously designed to operate seamlessly across various blockchain networks. Initially, our focus lies on EVM compatible chains, which currently host the majority of gaming projects and their Layer 2 solutions such as ZK rollups, and the Solana blockchain at the outset. This approach will enhance our platform's capabilities, allowing for the inclusion of games originating from both the EVM chains and the Solana ecosystem as part of our expansion strategy.

Behind the intuitive app interface lies the core technological framework, ready to expand and adapt to future gaming demands and advancements, making Simplio a dynamic participant in the GameFi space.

Simplio architecture consists of few major pillars:

Game interoperability SDK

Simplio provides a Software Development Kit (SDK) to facilitate seamless communication between the Simplio App and gaming projects. This SDK is designed to be compatible with popular game engines, including Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot, and Defold. This approach ensures that game developers can easily integrate their projects with Simplio, enhancing the gaming experience by leveraging Simplio's Layer-3 infrastructure for improved interoperability and multichain support.

Connection between game projects and Simplio is a crucial component of the whole ecosystem. With this connection, a game project is able to control Simplio App remotely and allow gamers to share their own game assets within the game. Connection is initiated within the Game SDK which will be available for all major game engines such as Unity, Unreal, Godot or Defold and once implemented, it will allow to create a channel connection where all data will be encrypted and sent to client side for additional confirmation.

For this service, Simplio uses its own Blockchain service which is communicating with an abstracted game wallet, not visible for regular gamers, which allows seamless gaming experience without any disruptions or additional setup.

Simplio currently supports immediate play of 3rd party web based Web3 games and also Simplio retro casual games as a showcase for the full potential of where Simplio can go with SDK for game engines.

Game library

Simplio supports various types of games, genres, engines and chains which provide best user added value to find proper games based on the mood of the gamer without searching for alternatives. Everything in a single place and with the possibility to play on a single click of a button. That is a huge opportunity as well of game projects, as they can have an immediate user base without extensive marketing effort. Each potential Web3 game that will decide to be listed on Simplio platform will be processed through DD where technical implementation means integration of Simplio Game SDK kit to initiate connection between project and Simplio App.

Smart Wallet

The Simplio Smart Wallet, a fully self-custodial wallet built on smart contracts is created in the background for each new user when the user makes their first web3 interaction - launching a game, buying an NFT, purchasing tokens. This EVM compatible wallet is then securely stored (with seed phrase) in the mobile device. All of this occurs in the background without any need for the user to understand crypto wallets or seed phrases, they simply get to play a game in Web3, without even knowing they are in Web3. Later as we educate the users about Web3 they have the opportunity to save their seed phrase, stake tokens and become more active to earn badges (see more on this later).

NFT Marketplace

NFT marketplace is the heart of every gaming application, including the Simplio App. Simplio refers to its store as the "Collectibles Point," where gamers can purchase, sell, and manage their in-game assets. The marketplace is a database of NFTs that are available for purchase via cryptocurrency or payment cards directly within the Simplio App, without the need to leave play mode. These NFTs are then transferred into the game inventory, which is stored in cold storage on the user's phone—the Simplio Smart Wallet—where they are ready for their journey inside the game.

When a gamer decides to stop using an NFT or receives one as a reward from a game project (such as a unique NFT sword or game pass), they can directly sell the item on a secondary marketplace. In some circumstances, an instant sell option may also be available. Simplio plans to set up a fund with game projects to guarantee a repurchase price (for example, at a 50% discount to the list price) for any sold NFTs to ensure that a minimum floor price is maintained. This feature may not apply to all projects but will be an additional feature for some games to help identify reliable web3 game projects to users. Users' NFTs can also be sent and received outside of the Simplio App, with full compatibility with other apps like Rarible or Opensea.

GameFi exchange service

Simplio operates on multiple chains and multiple exchanges in real time. This allows seamless cross-chain swaps among game projects and buying NFTs on various marketplaces with a single click without the need to actively use different wallets, bridges or chains.

FIAT on/off ramp

The cross-chain base layer of Simplio ecosystem allows users to buy any supported asset on any selected chain by debit card.

This step removes mass adoption barriers by eliminating the need for multiple separate solutions (exchanges, wallets, KYC, payment gateways) to make a single transaction and start playing games with favourite skin or purchase better weapons that will kill more monsters. Simplio aims to aggregate more global payment leaders to avoid any outages of services and cover all regions possible.

Payment gateway will be extended to have a possibility to off ramp amount up to US$500 back into gamers debit cards for smoother game experience in case of selling NFTs on Simplio secondary marketplace as well as implementing IBAN virtual bank accounts for large amounts to be transferred.

Meta transaction fee service

Simplio metafee service allows users to easily swap game assets without having source blockchain tokens. This is one of the major pain points in Web3 space and can be very disappointing for gamers. Simplio solves this problem by paying all necessary fees on behalf of the user and taking it from the source currency of the user. That puts Simpio into the position of paymaster of the transaction, realizing the whole swap process and removing hassle for users.
